12 Tiny Things Book Study

12 Tiny Things Book Study

12 Tiny Things guides you through creating intentional, less stress, and more into your life. It is a great guide to being In Step in a wholistic way. We're going to read this book as a community, and per the authors Heidi and Ellie's suggestion, we are going to let it take a whole year. We aren't going to rush through looking for quick fixes or shaming ourselves into being "better Christians." We're going to give each step time to find which practice(s) are grace for us, and support each other along the way. We will meet on the 4th Saturday of each month from 9-10:30 AM to discuss the chapter and support one another.

Faith in Action

Faith in Action

"Pastor, what can we actually do?" This is a refrain we've heard over and over again. So Pastor Lindsay and a few other leaders have created a new series: Faith in Action. We're going to gather to talk about what our faith can propel us to do in our world to build communities that are more aligned with the Kingdom of God.

Our first two part series is "How faith encourages us to participate in our civic life." We'll learn about scripture and what it tells us about participating in politics and how, and then we'll all learn together how we can contact our representatives when we feel called to do so. Join us after worship on November 2nd from roughly 10:45 am - 12:00 pm and then for a follow-up conversation on November 16th from 10:45 am -11:30 am.

Questions? Contact Pastor Lindsay. pastorlindsay@rejoicelutheran.net

Story Telling Seminar

Story Telling Seminar

Everyone has a few stories worth sharing! As we continue our In Step journey, we are going to share stories of Holy moments. Whether you knew you were on Holy ground as something was unfolding, only noticed God's presence after the fact, or are hoping this group will help you identify holiness you can't currently see, join us for these story telling seminars. We'll learn about how to tell a story well, practice a few, reflect on God's presence in our lives, and then everyone is invited to share a story in worship. (though you don't have to do so if you'd rather keep your story telling more private)
