Why Kickball and Movies?
It’s not about the activities! Though we do think they will be fun. We have become very aware of how easy our world makes it to be disconnected from one another. We hear from folks all the time who have just moved to the area and don’t know how to build community, or even people who have been here for a long time but are feeling more lonely lately. So we decided that we would focus our energy on helping people connect this summer. No hidden agenda, requirements, or even cost. We’re just hosting events with the hope that those who need community would find us and know that they are not alone for a few hours, and who knows what will happen from there?
SUMMER CONNECT SERIES
The Summer Connect Series are events designed to help us connect with our neighbors and make a new friend. Thank you for daring to have fun with strangers, or at least eat a good snack! All events are open to everyone - all ages, neighborhoods, personalities, and sports loyalties are welcome. Our world makes it way too easy to be disconnected from one another. Our only goal with the Summer Connect Series is that we all meet someone new! That being said, please feel free to bring a friend/family member/your hairdresser along to meet strangers with you.
All events are free, but we do appreciate RSVPs so we can plan accordingly.
Please bring a camp chair and dress to be outside.

Each activity is come as you are. There’s no cost to you, but we recommend bringing a camp chair, bug spray, and water bottle.
July 10th - Outdoor Movie & Popcorn
July 17th - Art Project and dessert. We will be making foam stamps that we can use to make wall art or cards. We’ll have a few stamps made already and walk you through how you can make your own.
July 24th - Kickball and Ice Cream Sundaes. Come ready to play or cheer! We’ll have a kickball field setup on gravel and make sure everyone who wants to play gets opportunities “at bat.”
July 31st - Game Night with salty snacks - We’ll have card and board games ready, but feel free to bring your own favorite game to share as well.
